Frequently Asked Questions

What sheen do you use? Is it oil or latex?

We usually use latex eggshell on walls, latex flat on ceilings, latex semi-gloss in closets and pantries and oil semi-gloss on wood trim doors and cabinets. If you would prefer something different, just let us know.

What brand of paint do you use?

We prefer to use high quality paint supplied by Sherwin Williams, which allows our crews to work efficiently. If you would prefer another manufacturer please let us know. Use of paint from another company may increase the price of your project.

To whom do I give my color selection?

After your project has been scheduled, you will be sent a link to our online color selection form. Please note that to avoid any delays, we will need to have your color selections 48 hours prior to the start of your project.

Can you paint over wallpaper?

We do not paint over wallpaper as company policy unless it is impossible to remove. Then we sand the seams and seal it.

Do you spray or roll interior walls/ceilings?

If your house is vacant we will cover floors, counter tops, etc and spray.
If you are living in house we would normally roll & brush.

Does the paint smell or is it low VOC?

Most of the water based products are low VOC  (volatile organic compounds), and low odor. Any oil based paint used for wood surfaces will be higher in VOC and odor.

Will you install or uninstall light fixtures?

No, we do not do electrical work. We may remove light fixtures if they are inactive.

Does the estimate include the cost of the paint?

Yes, the estimate is all inclusive. It includes labor, materials and sales tax.

Where do I choose colors?

To ensure your satisfaction with the color, we strongly recommend that you stop by a paint retailer and pick up a sample that you can bring home (or to the location of your project). Since all the major paint manufacturers share their color formulas, you can choose a store based on convenience. A few options are Sherwin Williams, Home Depot and Lowes.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured.
