Because DFW Painting appreciates the impact of a freshly repainted home for a person struggling to overcome life’s challenges, we have partnered with the non-profit, Dwell with Dignity.

The mission of the organization “is to help families escape poverty and homelessness through design”, according to Executive Director Lisa Nelson.

In support of Dwell with Dignity, DFW Painting donated extensive makeovers to the Promise House, which embraces homeless, runaway and at-risk youth, giving them needed support, encouragement and hope to live a better life.

“Partnering with Dwell with Dignity for the Promise House makeovers has been a rewarding and amazing experience,” says Mercy Gary, DFW Painting’s Multi-Media Coordinator, “and we are not done yet. There will be another remodeling phase for the Promise House later this year.”

“DFW Painting have taken our community projects to a new level, doing things that we could never have done,” says Nelson.

Nelson explains, “In design, one of the fastest ways to freshen up a space is with paint… and DFW Painting is one of the best! They do it with quality, they do it with trustworthiness, they do it with attention to detail– and we are thrilled to have them as a partner. The most important thing is that they have a heart for our mission.”

DFW Painting also contributed services to the Dwell with Dignity Thrift Studio. Thrift Studio was a 30 day pop-up shop created to benefit the organization through selling donated furniture, housewares, accessories and high end designer finds to the public.

For the Thrift Store Studio wrap up, DFW Painting restored the original white paint job to the Pop Up Studio space, which had been painted with a color scheme of red, green, black and teal.
